Creative Everyday Ceramics
Create your own utilitarian and decorative ceramic pieces for everyday use with Master Ceramist, Young Shin Kim. You will learn how to make pieces with both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Learn how to conceive forms and how to complete the pieces with slip, stain, and glaze. Learn the Buncheong technique, a special decoration skill with white slip, rooted in Korean traditional pottery. All the pieces are glazed with lead-free glazes and are fired at high-firing in gas kilns. The class hours are generally extended for up to two more hours for free studio time.
